What is Holistic Counselling?
In a Holistic counselling session, the holistic counsellor will help the client open up about their life and anything that's bothering them. This can differ, from the mental and physical to the spiritual and emotional.
The counsellor will also touch on issues that affect their energy level. A Holistic counsellor will offer guidance to the client on a personal basis, which is in a safe and confidential space. The space the session takes place will promote healing and other significant changes to take place.
The therapist during a session will be as welcoming as possible, employing psychotherapy techniques to ensure you feel comfortable. The session may include Massage, energy healing, advice and meditation.
What are the benefits of Holistic counselling?
Holistic counselling focuses on the underlying cause of a problem, disregarding what aspect of ones life of affected. A Holistic counsellor will look beyond the presented symptoms thinking of the roots, the cause and the origin of the said symptoms.
These symptoms, sometimes of not treated will result in physical pain if left unaddressed. The Holistic counsellor helps the client by using the clients own inner resources to resolve the issue(s) and help find further purpose in life if need be.
You can expect from Holistic counselling to get more personal about your feelings, life and opinions and to open up. At the start of the session the counsellor will encourage you to present your problems and try to understand them, it will continue from there on.
Sessions will usually be about an hour long to one and half hour, and can be done anywhere, face to face, audio call or through video.
